UNA GIORNATA IN FATTORIA

Già da qualche anno la nostra azienda si è spedalizzata sul progetto fattorie didattiche.
Lo scopo di questa nuova attività è quello di far riscoprire ai nostri ragazzi il valore "culturale" dell'agricoltura e del mondo rurale e quindi farli avvicinare il più possibile alla natura.
Abbiamo quindi studiato tré tipi di percorsi che toccano tré aspetti importanti della nostra azienda e del nostro territorio: le nostre tradizioni popolari e culinarie, il contatto diretto con la natura e l'importanza del sedersi a tavola e conoscere la provenienza e la qualità del cibo che si mangia.

1. a tu per tu con gli animali: visita nell'azienda e conoscenza degli animali che si allevano, per
conoscere i loro comportamenti e le loro abitudini, come si curano e come si alimentano.
Laboratorio: durante il pasto scambio d'idee e di curiosità sull'importanza dell'alimentazione.
Comunicazione e educazione alimentare.

2. le erbe spontanee di montagna: escursioni nei prati dell'Altopiano di Asiago per conoscere alcune
erbe di montagna, la loro stagione di raccolta e il loro utilizzo in cucina. Laboratorio: durante la
spiegazione delle erbette, i bambini dovranno trovarle e raccoglierle in appositi contenitori.

3. le uova: utilizzeremo un metodo un po' "colorato" per spiegare ai ragazzi una delle più importanti
tradizioni di Asiago, La Grande Rogazione, commemorazione religiosa tramandata dal VII secolo e
tuttora sentita da tutta la popolazione. Laboratorio: utilizzando le erbette raccolte nel primo
pomeriggio con l'aiuto di cartine colorate, i vostri ragazzi coloreranno delle uova che porteranno a
casa.

Dalle dieci di mattina alle quattro del pomeriggio i vostri ragazzi toccheranno tutti e tré i nostri percorsi,
merenda e spuntino offerti dall'azienda con miele biologico, marmellate e dolci fatti in casa, pranzo a base di
un primo e un secondo piatto con contomo e una fetta di dolce.
Inoltre abbiamo preparato per i vostri ragazzi dei souvenir naturali a base di ottimo miete e marmeffate
confezionate dalla nostra azienda che potranno acquistare al termine della giornata.

A DAY ON THE FARM

For some years now our farm has specialized in teaching. The object of this activity is to help children rediscover the “cultural” values of agriculture and of the rural world and hence to draw them as close as possible to nature. We have therefore studied three different courses which touch three very important aspects of our farm and of our territory: our culinary and popular traditions, direct contact with nature, and the importance of sitting around a table discovering the source and quality of the food that we eat.

1. Face to face with animals: a visit of the farm and acquaintance of the animals that are bred, knowledge of their behavious and their habits, how they are taken care of and how they are fed. Laboratory: during the meal, exchanging ideas and of snippets on the importance of nourishment.

2. Spontaneous mountain herbs: excursions in the fields of the Altopiano of Asiago to get to know some of the mountain herbs, their season for picking and their use in the kitchen. Laboratory: during the explanation of the herbs, the children must find, collect and place the herbs in appropriate containers.

3. Eggs: we use a rarther “colourful” method to explain to the children the “Great Rogation”, one of the Altopiano’s most important traditions. This heritage is a religious procession dating back to the VII century and is still held precious by the local people, to commemorate the end of the “plague”. Laboratory: using the herbs picked in the early afternoon and with the help of coloured paper, the children will decorate and colour eggs which they will take home.

From 10.00 in the morning till 4.00 in the afternoon, your children will touch all three courses. They will have a snack offered by the farm with biological honey, jam and home made cakes and lunch consisting of a first and second course followed by a slice of cake. Besides this, we have prepared natural souvenirs for your children, based on excellent honey and jam produced on the farm which can be purchased at the end of the day.
